An open civic tech community that anyone can join. Through Slack, Notion, regular hack days and more, people with shared interests work on projects together.

Disinformation

To counter misinformation and disinformation, we build tools to analyze Community Notes on X, analyze generative AI responses, publish analysis reports and hold events.

Decidim

As Japan's only official partner of Decidim, the open-source participatory democracy platform born in Barcelona, we introduce it to local governments, universities and others and support its operation.

Public Knowledge Engineering Studio

A hands-on studio where public servants learn from each other to turn tacit knowledge into a form AI can use, aiming for local governments that make full use of AI.

GovTech Program

We work with local governments and national ministries and agencies on digital talent development, hands-on regional support, and the promotion of open data.

MoC Data Integration Platform

We support local governments in building and using data integration platforms, and work with local governments and companies on smart cities that residents take part in.

TOMODACHI Boeing Entrepreneurship Seminar

We run a program for high school through graduate students in STEM fields that builds entrepreneurship through team-based planning and development.

We connect with civic tech communities across East Asia, including Taiwan and South Korea, through joint events and collaborative projects.

Jibungoto Planet is an app co-developed with the National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES). It shows the climate impact of your lifestyle in numbers and helps you choose the decarbonization actions with the greatest effect.

ikunowa

A web app that local governments use to deliver information on childcare, vaccinations and more to residents raising children, all in one place.

Code for Japan Summit

An annual conference and one of the largest civic tech gatherings in Japan. Engineers, public servants, students and others come together to share examples from Japan and abroad.
